The Children’s Ministry at HOPE welcomes every child, from 2 to 11 years old (toddlers - elementary), in the same spirit by which Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Luke 18:15).
Our mission is to teach, guide and encourage children to be friends of God and obedient to His Word by bearing good fruit in their young lives. Our vision, however, is to train, equip and mobilize children as disciples who minister, celebrate and usher in the Kingdom of Heaven through prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit. To that end, our committed staff faithfully prepares and teaches our youngest members each week. Children are divided into small classes, ranging from 2-3 year olds to 8-11 year olds, with an average teacher to student ratio of 1 teacher to 5 students.
We ask our teachers to actively build the house of prayer by participating in one corporate prayer meeting each week and by being active members of their individual community groups. We also meet quarterly for training sessions to mutually encourage one another and to pursue excellence in our teaching methods.We believe that every child can contend for healing, hear the heart of God for others (prophesy) and serve with compassion. Our goal is to raise up a generation of warriors who will take territory for the kingdom of God and prepare the earth for Jesus’ return. Our kids are not perfect - and neither is our staff! - but our God is perfect and we are on a journey to become more like Him through enjoyable prayer and a lifestyle of worship.
